It covers many different areas of physics research and different computational methodologies, including computational methods such as Monte Carlo and molecular dynamics, various electronic structure methodologies, methods for solving partial differential equations, and lattice gauge theory.

It gives you good exercises and hints for writing effective programs. It is challenging but worth the time I would say. I had a high level computing physics course and this book was a great reference both for DFT and Monte Carlo which I primarily used it for. Very fast service from UK. In my sincere opinion, is by far the worst book on C.

I have bought, and I do not recommend it, at least for those who want to learn C. Ok, ok, it can be considered a "high level" book maybe adequate for graduate courses , but I think that it lacks the main points on "pure" C. The reason for the two stars is because I am a condensed matter physicist, and therefore the book will at least serve as an additional reference on this subject.
