Kontaktplayer which ships with Sibelius is a dressed down version designed to make the Sibelius Essentials sounds work with Sibelius. Feel free to mail Jon for more details - he knows all the ins and outs. I could have thought of that myself. Now everything loads, but there's another problem: I have three instances of Kontakt 2 AU with Silver. When I hit play, some instruments have "sustain" enabled, for example all strings.
Some instruments play regularly most of the woodwinds and some do not play at all most of the brass. When I look at Kontakt, everything seems to have loaded fine. Altruism is hard to find nowadays. Feel free to flood my email with the music you've made using the sound set :- Jonathan soundsets at jonathanloving. A sound set for Gypsy is planned, however I can't speculate as to when it may be expected due to commitments with other developers that have to take priority right now.
Don't hesitate to email me with further questions; I'm running behind in answering my mail at the moment but generally it's a faster way to get in touch with me than the forums since I don't check all the forums daily. Jonathan soundsets at jonathanloving. We experienced similar problems in beta testing but believed this particular issue to have been resolved. It even happens when I create scores with the new House Style. Is this possible?
Any way to prevent that from happening? Outstanding job you did, by the way. Still leaves me with the question of how to use the two different keyswitch patches from the same staff. I'm thinking that I may need to change the keyswitches for the patches in Kontakt It is installed correctly and sounds load in the Kompakt player and Kontakt standalone with no problem.
I have also checked the registry values. Which file tells Sibelius the path to instruct Kontakt to load? This is a very uncommon situation that you have described :- Jonathan soundsets at jonathanloving.
The included House Style allows for percussion to be input from a MIDI keyboard and notated properly isntantly, and further it expands the playback dictionary to allow all patches in each EWQLSO version to be called directly from the score.
The option is there to use Keyswitches or to not by way of the two different sound sets provided for each version, sample auto-loading, and right on down the list. It's "load and go" a la Sib Essentials, but with the EW sounds. Speculative, untested, but logical on the surface at least I can not test the Silver edition myself, but if I have a score that is exhibiting the behavior I can work backwards to find out what is happening.
The House Style, as mentioned in the manual, is not required so I wouldn't expect it to either cause or fix this issue. It's additive in nature, but doesn't alter anything.
All users should download and install the updated sound sets. For more details on what needs replaced, please refer to the Changelog PDF file included in the download. Note that this update will not resolve "File Not Found" error messages caused by an incorrectly installed sound set. Special thanks to user Jay Grizzard for not only bringing these errors to my attention, but providing a script that compiled all the errors making this a considerably less involved update.
Then which file goes into which folder? You should place these in the same location as you placed the original sound sets which is listed in the user manual.
All other files are unchanged. Best, Jon soundsets at jonathanloving. Hide picture. Quick reply To add a reply to the end of this thread, type it below, then click Reply. Back to top All threads.

East West/Quantum Leap Symphonic Orchestra
It's another multi-DVD orchestral library! Does it merit a thunderous introductory timp roll or a feeble tap on a vibraslap? This ambitious project was conceived by two American producers, Doug Rogers and Nick Phoenix respective heads of the East West and Quantum Leap sample library empires and brought to fruition by Grammy-winning recording engineer Professor Keith O Johnson. Making a library of this quality is not the sort of project you undertake on a spare weekend — in fact, making EWQLSO took a year of recording, editing and programming. For the library to live up to its creators' ideals, it was imperative to find a concert hall with great acoustics, and they seem to have succeeded, although for contractual reasons, the identity of the seater hall and its resident orchestra remain a mystery. Recording started in August , the orchestra giving up their Summer break to the sampling sessions, and editing the resulting multi-channel recordings lasted nearly another year.
